Well, one of my favourite things about Christmas has to be mince pies. I eat way, way, way too many of them each year, both in the lead up, and during, and actually especially after Christmas (as all the stores sell them very reduced after Christmas).
So, Aldi has mince pies... therefore I MUST try them. I have actually discovered in the past that I tend to enjoy the 'non luxury' version of a given store's pies more so than the expensive ones, almost to the point of not actually liking their fancy dancy ones much at all.
Now, I have yet to eat the non-Luxury ones, I have some, I will be eating them and reporting here... but, just based on the taste of these luxury ones, I have to say they are very, very good.
I would rank them right up there with the best store bought mince pies I've had. And at $3.99 they're not expensive either.
Nice presentation with the variable crust shape on each (bells or holly or star), and just a really nice mince pie.
A+ from me.
